Weitzer Parkett, the Austrian engineered wood flooring manufacturer based in Weiz, has announced a significant reduction in its workforce. The company, which specialises in multi-layer parquet and plank flooring systems, has not disclosed the exact number of positions affected. The cuts reflect ongoing pressures in the European construction sector, where demand for interior finishes has declined alongside reduced residential building activity. Weitzer Parkett's production facility in Styria employs several hundred staff across manufacturing, finishing, and logistics operations.
