Andritz Beutler AG, a manufacturer of production systems for the wood-based materials industry, has announced mass layoffs at its Willisau location. Specific numbers of affected jobs have not been communicated so far. The company develops and manufactures systems for chipboard, MDF and OSB production as well as pressing systems for the wood-based materials industry. The announcement affects one of the significant industrial sites for wood processing technology in central Switzerland.
